Another Reason I've NEVER Set Foot in WALMARX
"...recent news stories revealed they've been wiretapping phone conversations
between their own PR staff and a New York Times reporter. Think about
that for a second: Wal-Mart can't even trust its own spokespeople to "stay
on message" with the media. What's more, Wal-Mart spies also intercepted
text messages from people with no connection to the company at all. Who
knows who else they're listening to? http://action.walmartwatch.com/WarnThePress
America's news reporters need your help. Send a letter to the editor of
your local paper, and warn them that if they talk to someone from Wal-Mart,
someone else might be listening.
Wal-Mart has always been about control -- control of their employees,
control of their suppliers, control of government officials, and control
of their image. That's why they've assembled a massive corporate intelligence
operation, headed by a former CIA official." - Walmart Watch

Interview on the Iran War
...I also recommend former prosecutor Elizabeth de la Vega's new book
(The
United States vs. George W. Bush et al) that makes a powerful case
that Feith and others are guilty of conspiracy to defraud the United States.
...Great idea. Impeach early and often. That's my advice. It can be done
by the House so easily, for so little. Most senior members of the administration
involved in our disastrous foreign policy and our incredibly stupid approach
to fighting terrorism could be easily impeached for incompetence, wrongdoing,
dishonesty, failure to honor the spirit and letter of the constitution
and other laws, even in my view, traitorous acts, placing the interests
of foreign countries above those of the United States. Some of these impeached
officials would be easily removed from office by the Senate, and we would
regain our honor as a nation by publicly recognizing their misbehavior.
...SWANSON: Did you expect that the new Democratic majority would investigate
the Iraq fraud?
KWIATKOWSKI: Not really. They should have done it in the first hundred
hours, and started impeachment hearings, too. They did neither because
those who devise our foreign policy in the Middle East politically own
many Democrats and Republicans. Party affiliation is meaningless, as we
have seen already.
...The Democrats offer no alternatives on foreign policy – and sadly,
the Republicans are as "Democratic" on domestic policy as the
Democratic Party once was. Clearly, on foreign policy, it's Dumb and Dumber.
No wonder Americans don't vote. - Karen Kwiatkowski

Safety
from external danger is the most powerful director of national conduct.
Even the ardent love of liberty will, after a time, give way to its dictates.
The violent destruction of life and property incident to war—the
continual effort and alarm attendant on a state of continual danger, will
compel nations the most attached to liberty, to resort for repose and
security, to institutions, which have a tendency to destroy their civil
and political rights. To be more safe they, at length, become willing
to run the risk of being less free. The institutions alluded to are STANDING
ARMIES, and the correspondent appendages of military establishments. - Alexander

The largest employer in the world announced on Dec. 15 that it lost about
$450 billion in fiscal 2006. Its auditor found that its financial statements
were unreliable and that its controls were inadequate for the 10th straight
year. On top of that, the entity’s total liabilities and unfunded
commitments rose to about $50 trillion, up from $20 trillion in just six
years. If this announcement related to a private company, the news would
have been on the front page of major newspapers. Unfortunately, such was
not the case – even though the entity is the U.S. Government.
(emphais added)
To put the figures in perspective, $50 trillion is $440,000 per American
household and is more than nine times as much as the median household income.
The only way elected officials will be able to make the tough choices necessary

The
State Leads Christians Astray
Christian obedience is triggered when the believer [is] faced with any
particular policy (legislation, ruling, executive order) that threatens
him. The bottom line is that Christians obey in order to avoid incurring
the state’s wrath. They do not want to incite Leviathan to break
out against them on account of their public disobedience to a policy. Their
objective is to minimize earthy entanglements (2 Timothy 2:4) or any action
that detracts from the glory of God. - Book review by Lawrence Vance
