Summer 2006
Building an Off-Grid Str
ucture

We've begun the frame for the roof and ceiling. It was, next to pounding the tires, the most challenging part of the structure. Jedi has every reason to be proud of this part of the building. He has been a very valuable asset to this project. Being an engineer, he "sheds" a lot of light on the technicalities.

Now Melee, my leetle girrl, is also a very valuable asset. She brings with her money from the successful job she holds. She has never been much of a laborer and this is not something she has relished. But she has stuck with it and has helped out immeasurably!! Not only has she funded many things that this poor old artist could not do... but she has not whined about having to do such DAMNED HARD WORK!

I LOVE THEM BOTH MORE THAN THESE WORDS CAN SUGGEST.
I may have been the impetus to get all of this going, but they have helped make it actually happen!

THANK YOU MELEE AND JEDI!

  We've been Framed!

Jedi should be very proud
of this building!

Tied up for running off...                      Out on Bale...

Steel roof is ON!!!

Believe it or not the roof does have a definite slant for runoff.

Now this is one tired puppy!
Unlike the rest of us...

We now have a hole that will accept a cistern to store water.
Thanks to our neighbor!
